I just had to report on a lucky break I had recently. I have been trying to find information on my G grandmothers family the Webbers. I knew that her parents were born in Devon, England, and had lived in and were burried in a small town called Kalamo in Eaton co. Michigan. I was chatting with a lady in a pogo game room who lived about 26 miles from there in Battle Creek. So I asked her if she had ever heard of Kalamo. She had and then wanted to know what connection I had to the area. I mentioned the Webber family and that they were burried in a cemetery behind a church there. To my surprize she offered to go and take pictures and send me copies of anything she found. We have also talked on the phone and she has been a real help. She was able to find my G granduncles, (brother to my g grandmother) grave and his wifes. this also lead to finding his sons and then several of their children as well as the name and pictures of the cemetery and headstones. Always nice to know there are a few decent people still around. With gas prices as they are I doubt I would have ever be able to make a trip to Kalamo myself.
