Re: None Thanks Jack! (steve iman)
I am not sure of the location of the island. I know Ice House Lake is across the road and down river a few yards from the present location of The Bridge of the Gods. It got it's name from the fact that in the winter they used to draw ice from it to be used in Ice boxes. there is some of the concrete fondation there. I was only aware of one Iman Lake that is off Ryan Allen Road. It is close to Iman Loop Road and Iman Cemeterey area. I believe it was once on land owned by Felix Iman, but not 100% sure of that. There are several small lakes in that area and one may be called Iman Lake and Little Iman Lake. Again Jeff would know more about that as well. I emailed him about the previous post as he doesn't check out your site as often as I do. Stevenson and Skamania County tended to name places after families who lived in the area. My family lives on Moore Road which was named after Samuel L. Moore who was the one to make the road that used to connect with the Loop Road.
