Re: Question Conflicting information (Jack E. Moore)
I also found online I believe Torsten Eymann's site listing him as born in Deutchland (Germany) and being a soldat in kreig 1861. What I found was he was in the Civil War 3 July 1861 to 28 July 1864 and was supposedly injured in his leg. Although it is possible he was born in Germany it doesn't seem likely. His middle name was Whiteside and his mothers last name was Whiteside and she was born in Illinois. This makes it extremely unlikely he was born in Germany. There is no indication that Christian Iman and Mary Whiteside ever went to Germany. These people were farmers and not rich people by any means very doubtful they would of traveled to Germany and then returned to USA. Add to that the fact that Lewis (Louis) and Felix his brothers were both born in Illinois. maybe I am digging into something Steve already solved. I am just starting to look at the ged coms here.
