| Ours has come close to dying but many live in the town so no excuse not to show up. It's close to 60 miles round trip for most of us who live out of town and some even further than that. It is getting harder since most of the oldtimers have passed on I only have 3 aunts left out of the 13 brothers and sisters. This year I turn 50 and am now a grandpa myself and many of us from that next generation are now in late 60's or 70's. I guess I am still considered a young one in the bunch. Most of the ones under 30 don't really care about their roots. A big part of that is keeping it interesting and for some of them to get to know each other. I know I don't really know to many of the younger ones. |
