Re: None I'm An Iman Too!! (Carolyn Iman Patterson)
Thanks Carolyn. I'm glad that you found the website and that you're interested. Your Imans stayed pretty close to the home territory it seems, since Emoryville isn't far from Petersburg. We do understand the path back for you pretty well on the Iman side.. from Charles Evers to his dad Henry Milford, who was a son of old Cornelius, one of the favorite ancestors of the family. That old gun maker was a son of Emanuel Iman and Barbara Sites. Though we have no proof, it surely seems that "Manny" (in some old records) was a son of the Christian Iman who arrived in about 1786 to the hills of West Virginia and parked on Iman's Run (Spring Run). Members of the family have often thought that our Christian was a son of Ulrich and came from, perhaps returning to Conestoga, though I believe that we descend from a Jacob Eiman who arrived a bit earlier than Ulrich, and who lived at May Apple Bottom near Harrisburg. Stepping back though, we're surely among those anabaptists out of Switzerland who resided along the Pfalz along about the 30 year war which tore up so many communities. I'm glad that you found the site, and would be happy to share anything.

Care.. Steve
