Re: Question Jewish heritage (Paula Schultz)
I have no information and wasn't aware of whatever surname site you're referring to. As an undergraduate many many years ago, I found that it was commonly assumed at Eastern colleges that I was Jewish -- based on the name and my nose;-) We definitely arose from anabaptists of Switzerland and northern Germans who had fled catholic pressures toward protestant type reforms. We lived among German Baptist, Swiss Brethren dunkers for decades along the Rhine, and into first landings in Pennsylvania. We intermarried with Scots Irish quite often even while German was the primary language of our people. So the heritage, for the most part emerged from european roots. As to genetics, I know of no efforts to study Eyman ancestry, though I'd be delighted to find a wider inclusion in our streams than I'd have guessed;-)
