While pusuing these objectives, environmental concerns in the two target Basins of Pangani and Rufiji will be addressed, and stakeholders will be involved.

This comprehensive integrated project being implemented by the Ministries of Water and Agriculture& Cooperratives will take six years to implement from December 1, 1996.

In the coming year, 1999, we hope to start developing key information products that will be available to our stakeholders and other users with access to our Web page.

We welcome dialog with water specialists and water user groups throughout the world. We are particularly interested in dialog and sharing experiences related to innovative approaches to involvement of rural communities in the context of developing countries.
